🗑️ Delete Your Data
Request deletion of your Brainstream account and all associated data
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account and profile information
- All your notes and their contents
- All attachments (images, PDFs, voice recordings)
- Your tags, tasks, and settings
- AI-generated summaries and briefs
- Subscription information
How to Delete Your Data
Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
- Open Brainstream app
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion
This is the fastest method. Your data will be deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request via Email
If you can't access the app, send an email to:
info@usebrainstream.app
Include the email address associated with your account. We'll process your request within 7 business days.
⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to export any data you want to keep before deleting your account.
Data Retention After Deletion
After deletion:
- Your data is removed from our active systems immediately
- Backups are purged within 30 days
- Some anonymized analytics may be retained
- We may retain data required by law
